I cannot count how often I’ve been told by professionals, family, friends, fellow-adopters: “You MUST look after yourself. You can’t pour from an empty cup. You’re no good to anyone if you have a nervous breakdown.” Of course, they are right. And of course we all know that it is SO much easier said than done. And even when we do manage to get away and have a bit of time to ourselves we usually pay for it with the fall-out behaviour from our kids afterwards.
NONEtheless, it is sometimes possible to carve out some precious me-time and it is usually worth it. But once you’ve got it, what do you do with it? Here is some colourful inspiration for you.
